Especially in larger fights, CPU will likely be your bottleneck remember it's the cpu that's doing the heavy lifting (drawing shadows, calculating projectile/player paths, etc). You can play around with your options and get a feeling of what's better for you here:īut this is an older game that doesn't rely as much on GPU as CPU, even after the DX11 update. I would go for the 3080, you'll get a decent bump in performance over the 3070ti for little to no price difference. and you wonder why people jumped over to AMD that may be down to being stuck with this MB though.thanks for that Intel. 3070 still screams when under load on a 1440p monitor when under load.with an OC 7700k 4.9GHz. Also what do you get on 1440p monitor? And which CPU do you have? ”well, some 1440p monitors, like the samsung G7 are nice playing at 240hz.if there are games that actually do play at 240hz.ĭo not think PS2 plays at that refresh rate though.might be wrong. What do you get playing PS2 on 4k Ultra/Shadows off in big battles? 48+ vs 48+ or 96+ vs 96+. So is there a big difference? For anyone who has a 3070ti or 3080 or both. Also feel like I am missing out on experiencing playing games on a 32 inch monitor. Still, I have never played games on a 1440p monitor and it should be able to run PS2 at 144fps on a 3070ti, just seems like I am wasting my 3080 potential if I play on a 1440p monitor. The reason for my dilemma is if the 3080 can run PS2 at 4k/Shadows Off with rest on ultra at 110-130fps in large battles then I will buy a 120hz TV. Price is not a factor since some 3080's are almost the same price as some 3070ti's. ↑ “ I am in a dilemma on whether I should get a 3080 or a 3070ti, if I can get a GPU any time soon.
